Castle Lodge at Crayke Castle

Castle Lodge is a two-bedroomed holiday cottage adjoining Crayke Castle, one of North Yorkshire’s most historic and spectacularly-situated landmarks. The luxury accommodation will sleep up to six people and enjoys superb views of the Howardian Hills.

Guests can take advantage of the six-acre castle grounds that include beautiful gardens, a tennis court and a games room. Crayke village itself is steeped in history from the Bronze Age, Roman occupations, Anglo Saxon, Danish and Viking Ages through to the Normans, and is situated just three miles from the wonderful town of Easingwold, voted one of the best market towns in England.

Crayke is a wonderful village, one of the prettiest in North Yorkshire. There is a great village pub which has an award-winning restaurant and there are various walks in and around the village which all have spectacular views including the Howardian Hills (North) the Wolds (East), the Vale of York (South) and the Dales and Pennines (West).

Within a short distance are many places worth visiting including Easingwold (2.5miles), voted the Second Best Market Town in England, Castle Howard (7 miles) a stately home which opens to the public (the setting for Brideshead Revisited) and great family day out, and the historic City of York (13 miles).
